Waterproof Camcorders Canon
Can someone help me with making a DOF adapter?
Well I will be getting an HD Camcorder pretty soon. Not the high end models that cost $1000 and over but more of the affordable ones at around $300 to $400. I’m pretty much set on buying the Sanyo HD Waterproof Camcorder VPC – WH1.
I already own a Nikon D40X with a 18-55mm lens. I would like to use that for the camcorder because I want that DOF along with the focus ring. The manual focus by button on these camcorders are really difficult to use because you tend to over do it since you have to hold it.
How do you make an adapter for that?
What parts do I need to buy in order to create a homemade DOF Adapter?
Will the adapter I make for my Nikon lens work for any other Camcorder (i.e. Panasonic, Canon, etc.)?
Is there a better camcorder that is HD for aroun $300-$400?
Unless you find a HD camcorder with interchangeable lenses, you will not be able to make it use your lenses from your Nikon system .. at any price
There is ONE modular video camera that can use Nikon lenses. The Red One, but it is way out of your budget at this time.

I am afraid you are going to have to become a wizard at using the manual focus button on your Sanyo.
