Wal Mart Camcorders Jvc

September 30th, 2010

I still need a camcorder?

Ok…I know i’ve already asked for some advice, but I can’t get any decent answers from any retailers (rex, radio shack, wal-mart, etc.)

If i get a Mini-DV camcorder that records on tape – is there anyway i can view the movies other than through my tv? The dude at REX said the only way is to put the tape back into the camcorder and then plug it in to your tv. Is this true?

The answerer from my prior question immediately ruled out DVD camcorders, so unless you know something that he didn’t, please share.

I’m interested in a Hard Disk Drive camera (JVC Everio MG155) as well – but not sure whether I should go for this or the Mini-DV. Please help – my baby is due anytime now and I don’t want to miss a moment!!

I’m looking for good video and sound quality. Please give as much detail as you can.
that’s great the mini-dv are better quality, but what are the ways that i can playback the tapes? i really need to know this before I decide on either format

Video quality from miniDV tape would be one of the best specially if the intention is to edit the video also, which may prove difficult for DVDs.
But being a father too, I suppose you’ll be rather busy when your little one comes… and you’re practically right, HDD may be the better choice.
Maybe the reviews and cost parameters in this link might help: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/d/Reviews&level_b=Camcorder&level_c=All.htm
