Christmas is coming soon! Wait, no it isn’t. But anyway, I like doing and finishing things early. So, I need “the perfect gift” for mom. General description of what I need:

P.S. does anybody think that I shouldn’t get her a present for Christmas and splurge on a fancy thing for her birthday, like those tiny camcorders? Her birthday is March 12, and she keeps saying that she doesn’t want anything… I could always sew up a nice set of cellphone cases, then give her a mini camcorder… please, does anybody think that’s a good idea?
I’m a Mom and I buy whatever I want for myself, so when my children ask me, and I say “I don’t want or need anything,” …I am not kidding. I don’t want more junk, or electronic devices or things to clutter the house. Moms want your time. That’s it. Your TIME. Who is her favorite singer/band or theatrical performance (CATS, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, etc). Get matinee tickets and go with her. That should cost under $50 (unless it’s on Broadway). If you can’t swing that, find a local performance or event (art exhibit, ice show, book signing…depends on what Mom likes) and go with her. The memories will last a lifetime while whatever you wrap in a box will be forgotten within 6 months.
