I would go with the Samsung personally.
Granted it doesn’t have the same number of MP as the Sony but it has a better optical zoom and it will use one of the standard memory cards vs. a Sony specific card that is usable in only Sony cameras.
Optical zooms are just that…zoom as you see it. Digital zoom relies on the camera to use it’s “best judgement” to fill in the pixels as you zoom in. The more digital zoom there is the more “best guessing” the camera will do and the higher the risk of losing image quality.
Not to mention the Samsung as image stabilization also.
