Test Camcorders
Is there a fix for Sony Bravia / HDMI / camcorder not working?
I have a two Sony Bravia LCD digital flat screen TVs. When using the HDMI (std to mini) cable between my Canon HF-11 HD camcorder and either TV, the camcorder isn’t recognized. The HDMI connections test fine. The component input number is correct.
A call to Canon Tech support and they said there has been a problem with Sony Bravia’s not recognizing some of their camcorders. He said there is a fix, but it’s with the TV itself. Something about changing the? (I think he said signal). I checked the TV menus and found nothing.
Any ideas?
My understanding is that there is a piracy issue when TVs hook up with camcorders, recording devices, etc. I had the same problem and that’s what I heard. Some work and some don’t.
