Kodak Digital Cameras Update
HAVING PROBLEMS VIEWING PHOTOS ON WINDOWS VISTA, NOT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS, PLEASE HELP ME??!!!?
I just uploaded some photos taken last night from my digital camera to my laptop. When I try to open them, most display this message:
“photo gallery cannot open this picture. The file format is not supported,or you don’t have the latest updates to Photo Gallery.”
What does this mean? All my pictures, including the ones I can view with no problem, are around the same size. I don’t understand how they could be corrupted in anyway. I can view the problematic ones ok on my camera, its just when I try to view them that I get that message.
Laptop: SamsungR60 plus (using Windows Vista Photo gallery)
Camera: Kodak easyshare C180
Picture format: JPG
Probably the format of pictures that your camera is taking is not compatible with your viewing software. It is very unlikely though because all of the pictures are mostly taken into JPG format which is most common for all types of computers. Download Irfanview from www.irfanview.com . It is a very small free software and compatibe with all sorts of image files. After downloading and installing that software, you can see your pictures for sure. I hope this helps. Thank You.
