Connecting an old viewfinder to a webcam?
Ok, so I have this ancient camera: http://www.photographyreview.com/mfr/sony/camcorders/PRD_386588_3556crx.aspx
And I was hoping to have live video feed from a web camera to the viewfinder for an airsoft scope. Any hints or guides on how to do this? serious answers please?
I doubt you will be able to do it – the viewfinder is almost certainly closely wired to the electronics of the camera (HD = “ancient” makes me feel old) Your web cam output is almost certainly USB which means you would have to build a computer with USB input and directly interface with viewfinder – if you could find the schematics for the finder.
With the range of airsoft, you would do as well with a copper tube sight.
