Sony Cybershot Troubleshooting Help Please?!?
I have a sony cybershot digital camera, and when I turn it on it doesn’t work properly, a message comes up saying “access, please switch power off & on again” …but when I do this same thing happens.
Is it knackered, or can anyone suggest a way to fix it?! It’s past the guarantee so I can’t take it back to store, but a friend told me this is a common problem with sony products to make you go out & buy new ones?!!!
First try new batteries. My guess is that the lens isn’t extending properly (a problem with Sony) which is sometimes caused by weak batteries. If that doesn’t do it, try GENTLY pulling the lens out while turning the power on. Once you get it out, try cleaning it with a micro-fiber (or scratch free) cloth
