Sony Digital Cameras Rates

Sony Cyber-shot 12.1MP Digital Camera (DSC-T90) *it’s the touch screen one!*?
Is this a good camera? I’m thinking of buying it but its pretty expensive.
Is It worth it?

Sonys are Ok, but I think you should read this expert opinion!

I’m a pro, too, and concur with Rockwell. I like pocket-style cameras with regular-shaped lenses rather than teeny ones. Much easier to keep clean than the tiny one on that T90, and of course better quality. Also, I’m not a fan of touch-screen, which can be a real pain in bad weather or in the hands of children or strangers you might hand it to to take a snap of you. Also note that the A1000 Rockwell recommends at $135 uses AA batteries which are a BIG plus — and it is really pocket size — and very inexpensive! Do you NEED the 12MP of the newer A1100 or the T90? Probably not at all.
Those AA batteries (and the optical viewfinder missing from the T90) are both big advantages! How many times have I seen vacationers in Miami (not to mention farther destinations where that camera get USED) — stranded with a dead camera. You’ll find AA batteries worldwide and be sure to have a camera instead of a paperweight wherever you go — and images that are superior to the Sony besides!
I’m not against Sony per se. I have two of them and one is may own favorite take-along, an older S600, the other a V3 which has lots of unique pro-style settings to fool around with, such as RAW and Infrared. But the newer Sonys have gotten rid of some of the most attractive features to go for the slim styling and high Megapixels that people have gotten convinced are best. But as Rockwell says, that’s just a fad, and has little to do with the quality of the camera itself.
