Does anyone make regular size camcorders anymore?

I was looking at Walmart a few weeks back, and all they had were this puny little camcorders the size of my hand (and I have tiny hands)…
Just like cameras, I really don’t think the smaller the better. I like a bit of weight, otherwise I fear going to quickly grab my camera and it accidentally flying out of my hand.
I don’t know I just don’t like them.
I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any Sony, or basically any camcorders you recommend, in the $300-400 range that might be a bit more of the old fashioned size camcorders.

Electronic manufactures know that they can compact a whole lot of internal parts in a very small space (device) and thus be very portable and consumers are buying into that. Places like Walmart will offer more of the pocket-sized camcorders because not only are they small and easy to use; they are the least expensive and thus geared towards consumers who will spend $120-$140 for one. Besides you wanting a palm (handheld) size cam also can give you more features than a pocket cam. You can go with a cam the size of a soda can or a tad bigger, like a tape-based cam (a Canon HV series camcorder for example). I’m not a fan of hard disk drive (HDD) or mini-DVD (disk) camcorders because of them being easily inoperable if the cam was to be dropped or jolted abruptly, thus you would loose all your video. They are just more delicate because of the internal moving drive.

For your budget, you could go with a Sony Handycam HDR-CX110 which records in HD onto memory cards, and is the size of a soda can. Or if you want a tad bigger one, check out a Sony DCR-SR68. It records in standard definition but is a HDD cam. Again, it’s within your budget. There may be others if you do some google searches under Shopping. That way you can see some images of the cams and some net prices.
