Sony Camcorders Vhs

How to put family videos on dvd?
While I am at home, I want to put all of the old family videos and baby tapes onto DVDs for my mom and dad. I really have no idea how to do it so I am asking for help, from anyone. I have two camcorders, a Sony Handyman DCR-TRV22 and a Sony CCD-FX420 as well as a few on vhs. I have a mac and access to a windows thingy, but i would prefer to use my mac.
Not familiar with mac here so I’ll give you some general words. You’ll need some way of inputing the camera feeds into your computer, which requires some kind of hardware with the right video ports, so you can connect them. That’s the hard part normally.
Once you get the video on the system, you’ll need some kind of DVD Authoring software to convert the video to the dvd standards so it’ll play on dvd players. Once you have it in the right format, which is either a .iso that you can burn or video_ts folder with .ifo and .vob files on it (if it’s an iso it’ll have this folder and files within the iso image) you either burn the iso image (different than just burning the iso file to the disk) or you burn the video_ts folder to the disk.
As far as the software end, there are many free programs to do this with (not sure on mac)
