Would a Flip Mino HD pocket camcorder work with Adobe Premiere Elements 8?
I am thinking about purchasing a Flip Mino HD camera, however, Windows Movie Maker (Which is what I’ve always used to edit my videos with) doesn’t work with the Flip line of camcorders. I realise I could convert, but that is inconvenient, so I DO NOT want to have anything to do with that. Then I came across Adobe Premiere Elements 8, It lookes good, (Better than Windows Movie Maker?) But I will need to know if it is compatible with the Flip Mino HD camcorder. I think the Flip Mino HD records in MPEG-4 (H.264) correct? And I beleive Adobe Premiere Elements works with it, but I need to know for sure, (And remember, NO CONVERTING FILES). If Adobe Premiere wont work, will Pinnacle Studio HD work? And lastly, will the Sony Bloggie work with either of these programs. Thanks a ton!
You basically need a video editor that can deal with H264 video, so yes, Elements will work.
But any time you work a video thru an editor, the video WILL BE CONVERTED.
It’s not possible to do edition without it, unless we’re talking about only trimming and at keyframes, in which case with Avidemux you’ll be better off.
