Slr Digital Cameras Explained
Good SLR digital camera for an amateur photographer?
I’m a little bit confused what i should get. I’m picking between Canon and Nikon brand wise. I’m not sure should I invest in mid-range (or even high-end) or just stick with entry-level for now while I’m learning. If somebody can explain the major differences between them or give any advice, that would be great.

if i had to recommend a camera for an amateur photographer i would defiantly have to say the Nikon D40. it is one of the best, basic cameras of it’s family- and the most affordable too!
i have had mine for nearly two years this coming December and it has been the perfect camera for me since i am too, an amateur photographer. it has helped me learn thein’s and ooutsof photography- put it this way: i had no idea what exposure, iso, etc. was until i got a hands on feel the SIMPLE way; with my D40.
now i am ready to upgrade…
the nikon and canon families are suuuuper close as far as quality and all that good stuff goes but the Canon’s seem to be a bit more pricey(although i could be wrong)..
