How to choose a Camcorder?
I don’t really know much about camcorder brands and techs n features…
I need help deciding
I know I want something small and that the battery lasts a long time..
Anything under $500
I was looking at some from Sam’s Club but if any of you know anything about camcorders help me out…..

SONY makes some decent starter video cameras. The big issue with the latest models (Panasonic and JVC, too) are they tend NOT to have mic or headphones jacks, which is a bummer. The Canon model (below) has both. Also, look for this price, you tend to only get USB output, which can be a real problem. Ideally you want a Firewire output for video, so if you can spend a bit more to get that feature, do it.
