Are refurbished camcorders good to buy?

Hi, I am interested in getting the Canon hf21 camcorder, but i recently saw a refurbished version for a much lower price. Now I do not know how long the warranty is on it, but it will be easy for me to find out. I posted the link to the camcorder below, to see what your thoughts on it are. The camcorder is listed on the canon site, so it should be the best site to buy from. But i am still worry about buying it.

I’ve bought a lot of refurbished electronics and I’ve always been happy with them. Most refurbished items were returned after someone bought them and used them a really short time or not at all, so they aren’t as “used” as regular used items. They’ve also been factory inspected and repaired as needed, and have a warranty.

About the only difference between a refurb and a new item is that it probably won’t come in the original packaging, and it might have minor scratches. If that means saving a lot of $$$, it’s worth it.
