Professional Hd Tv Camcorders
Need Help With Starting Own Tv Show. Camcorders and Such?
I am looking to start my own show it will be shot outdoors. I have Adobe Premiere for editing but I want to know REAL, PROFESSIONAL advice on what camcorder to buy. It needs to be HD and I sorta have some guidelines for the outdoor channel which is one of the companies I emailed and received and email back from.

That’s the website that has the requirements BUT the last person was telling me that I would need to spend around 60,000 on equipment and that is just not doable for me… and I have seen some shows with camcorders that are not in the 30,000 dollar range. So please help me out..
Buy an old Sony Z1 they are around £1500 in the UK probably $2000 in the US (look on ebay), its the sort of camera a self shooter directer uses on low budget TV shows.
If you want to improve the pictures on the Z1 get a letus adapter with some stills lenses for around the same money again, but the Z1 on its own will give you decent pictures and there are plenty of them around 2nd hand because the TV industry has upgraded to EX3′s EX1′s Z5′s or Z7′s .
You can always hire your kit, I don’t even own a camera because the ones I use are so expensive and I use different ones all the time depending on the productions requirements, I own lights because I use them all the time, you just have to work out what you should buy and what you could hire on an ad-hoc basis.
Editing you should ditch any PC you have and buy a mac and use Final Cut Pro
