Driver software for Premier DS-5080 Digital Camera?
Does anyone know how I can get the driver software for my Premier DS-5080 digital camera?
I’m running windows Vista and I will not recognise the camera when it is plugged in. I can’t find the original CD and the manufacturer does not appear to have a website. Any (sensible) suggestions please.
The easiest way is to get an SD card reader and plug your card into that. The problem is probably the lead or the flimsy USB socket on the camera.
I’ve got several of these cameras and never needed a driver for them yet, in Vista plug the camera into the USB and turn it on, make sure it’s in drive mode which should come up automatically on the camera when you plug it in.
Goto Start>Computer on your computer and another drive should be there, double click it and you should get a DCIM folder, double click that and your pictures are there.
Then it’s just a question of creating and naming a folder to store the pics and selecting and dragging the pics into the new folder. Once the pics are safely stored, format the card IN CAMERA – NOT on the computer!!
It’s all so much easier with a card reader, cheap to buy and can be left plugged into your computer.
