Pentax Digital Cameras Megapixels
What are some top Digital Cameras that are clear and close to real life?
I’ve had the Olympus FE-240 and Pentax S12. I’m not fussed on either and the Pentax takes around 10 crappy shots to 1 good one. I’ve tried all the functions on it too. Budget under $1000 without being ripped off i hope. Also have problems with blury photos, whether its a still or moving object. I take some distance shots, not many. 8 Megapixels or more would be good. How will i know its gonna take good shots before i’ve purchased it, any ideas? Thanks all for reading.
Also, is there a camera that is quick at taking shots? Not one that takes 3 or more seconds to focus? Thanks
The biggest question you want to ask yourself is if you want a point and shoot (the small cameras you have now) or a full on DSLR. There are plenty of fantastic cameras that can be had for under $200. Spending $1000 is overkill, or at least it seems that way to me in your case.
Branding: Stick with Canon, Nikon, Sony. These are the most popular and produce images with the best quality.
Form Factor: You can stick with a small point and shoot like you have now or choose to go with one that has a larger body. Benefits here are more optical zoom, better low light performance, manual features (if you use them).
Shooting Location: If a majority of your pictures are shot in low lighting conditions, make sure to get a camera with high ISO. Most slim and compact cameras (like the ones you own) perform very poorly in low light situations, which means grainy and often times blurry shots. This may be the case with you. If so, getting a larger camera will mean increased sensor size, more powerful flashes, and higher ISO settings which in turn should mean better images for you.
Technique: Since your cameras are relatively new, especially the Pentax being less than 1 yr old, it’s very possible that you just need to read up on proper photographing techniques (please take no offense to this). There are many ways you can improve picture quality. A simple internet search may bring up some helpful tips…and hopefully help you save a couple hundred dollars.
Oh and if your camera takes 3 or more seconds to focus, it’s probably not operating correctly.
