Panasonic Digital Cameras Malaysia
Is buying a digital camera cheaper in Malaysia than Australia? For example, panasonic lumix dmc-fz50?
I am willing to buy a digital camera. They are worth $800 AUD in Australia. Just wondering how much would they cost me if I buy it from Malaysia when I go there in two months time. Any information is greatly appreciated.
It probably would be cheaper, but if you needed any kind of repair, it would probably not be covered under warranty in Australia. “Grey market” cameras (cameras meant for one market which are being used in a different market) are often not covered in the country in which you live in, but rather in the country in which it was purchased. They can tell by the serial number, and often when you call in with a problem, the rep will ask you for said serial number. If you’re number is not one meant for the Australian market, they will possibly not take your call even.
