Camcorders, does anyone know much about power supplies please?
Camcorders, does anyone know much about power supplies please? I wish to buy a camcorder in the UK to film a fairly long event in the USA, is there a camcorder available in UK which can either operate or charge its battery off the 110 Volts 60Hz power supplies in the US? If not, is there a readily available power converter to go from 110 volts to 230 volts AC?

What I really meant to ask is there a dual voltage camcorder available to operate off 110 (US) and 240 (UK) volts in the same way that some laptops can?
yes , it will not make a difference , manufacturers factor this in , have a look at the plug , and there should be something like 100-240v , this is the range of power supply capabilities , most will work no worries , as internationally camera manufacturers offer this as to sell there camera’s worldwide
