Nikon Digital Cameras Comparison
Nikon d60, d90, or d3000?
Hello! I’m looking into getting my own first digital slr camera. I’ve used the older Nikon d70…but that’s a film camera. I’ve used very vaguely digital slr cameras. I’m willing to learn anything to use this camera.
I know that the d90 is top of the line, and that the d60 and d3000 are very similar, but the d90 is more expensive.
I’m looking for more comparison on them. I’ll be taking pictures of people, landscapes, animals, and I love using macro lenses to get up close.
Could anyone offer more comparison on these three dslrs? I’d really appreciate it. I’m really looking forward to getting one, I just need the right one!!!

You can click on the bright green text to see the reviews and samples galleries. I will tell you that the D40, D60, D3000 and D5000 will only auto-focus certain lenses so you should take that into consideration especially when buying lenses for one of those models. Some subjects are great for manual focus.
Personally, I would be leaning toward either the D5000 which has a ’tilt and swivel’ LCD, or preferably the D90 which is superior to the others on your list.
