What nikon camera should i ask for for christmas?

Yes, I know it’s a little late so .
But I do not want anything too expenssive (so this automatically means no SLRs/DSLRs.
So I am looking at Nikon compact digital cameras.I guess it doesn’t have to be Nikon, but I know Nikon is a really good brand and I’ve had problems with Kodak before.

Ok here is my opinion.i would get the Nikon Coolpix S8100. Frankly because it just came out, so it wont be out of style anytime soon, and plus it has everything you want in a camera including HD movies which i find is a bonus since all the new cameras are doing that. Now another option besides that would be the Nikon Coolpix P100. Why? because it has so many great offers to give. Including 26x zoom which is AMAZING. and also HD movie. This also gives the look of a SLR camera with half to price for just under $300.
