New Sony Products Camcorders
Which camcorders provide webcam like streaming?
I’m looking for a camcorder that can be used to stream digital video through a computer. I’m wondering if people could tell me make/model of such cameras, or labels that manufacturers use to describe such a feature (e.g. Sony call it “usb streaming” on some older models).
Some constraints:
1. I need 20x or higher optical zoom, so am looking at camcorders rather than products designed as webcams.
2. It needs to be fairly light, e.g. under 400g, so prefer SD camcorders to those that use hard disks.
3. It needs to be DIGITAL video, rather than feeding analog output into a video encoder. I’d prefer that it is encoded (e.g. H.264) rather than raw video (e.g. HDMI?)
4. I need to buy the product new, so it needs to be a reasonably current model.
5. Prefer low cost models.
