What digital camera(s) are decent at taking successive pictures quickly?
We are looking to purchase a new digital camera. Currently, we have a Kodak EasyShare C340 and are not impressed with the rate it takes pictures esp. when you want to capture motion. Ideally, the camera would be well under $500. $250 would be a good price. Neither of us are anywhere near professional photographers but we travel a lot and would like something relatively compact and easy to use as well.
You should get a digital SLR camera. Nikon and Canon are both good. I have a Nikon D50 (which has been replaced by the D80).
Like you I had a Kodak Easyshare and was not impressed. It was a toss up between the Nikon and a Canon EOS. I have been very happy with the Nikon. Bought it for an overseas trip and took 3,000 photo in the 30 days I was away. Camera was perfect to use.
These cameras are more expensive than compact digitals, but will normally have better quality lenses.The speed of the lense can also be a factor, so talk the the folks at a specialist camera store.
