Jvc Camcorders Optical Zoom
Can microphone headset connect to camcorder?
Amateur director here! I want to post video logs online and I already know how to do so using my mini-DV camcorder. But now I want quality audio along with my videos, and was wondering if mic headsets can connect camcorders or not.
I know webcams sometimes come with mic headsets, but I don’t have a webcam and am not planning to buy one anytime soon.
I have a JVC GRD70 MiniDV Camcorder with 2.5″ LCD and 16x Optical Zoom and SD/MMC Card Slot.
If they are compatible with camcorders, which kind should I buy? Please respond if you know what in the world I’m talking about. :0) Thanks.
Im not sure about the GRD70 but most mini-dv cams have an 1/8 inch in jack for most prosumer AV mics – check with B&H:

Most of these have XLR connectors which means you’ll need an adpater cable.
