my current digital camera is a hp photosmart 8.2mp r927 loads of features and even full manual (aperature and shutter control)
so ive learned alot from that
i wanan spend a little more on a new cvamera now since i had that for about 3 years now
i was thinking of a highend point and shoot like the one in the link, but i also considered a slr

I would go with the Powershot SX20. It still has the auto settings for beginners, but has the same manual settings that you would find on a SLR. You can learn how to take good pictures and the finer points of photography on it without spending the money on you’ll need to on a SLR. What you learn you can take to a SLR later on down the road. If you decide you don’t want to spend the time learning how to be a better photographer, You’ll still have a great camera without having to make a big investment in money and time with a SLR.
