Hd Camcorders Flash Drive
Want to buy a HD camcorder, what is better HDD or Flash camcorders?
Initially I was going to buy a HDD camcorder but realised that most of them take digital stills with less mega pixels, and the ones that record onto flash take better quality digital stills. Overall, they both equally take good footage. Obviously if I buy a flash camcorder, I will have to buy a an SD card with it.
Does that mean Flash camcorders are better than Hard Disk Drive camcorders?
Consumer video cameras don’t provide high quality still images no matter if it’s recorded on internal memory or flash memory. The same goes for a still digital camera that has video recording capabilities…low resolution video.
Many video cameras have both hard drive memory and flash memory. Personally, I always record on tape or to memory cards because I can use that method to change out the medium as I shoot video at different times and places.
When you choose your memory card(s), get high capacity (HC) cards. They work best for video. Example, an SD (secure digital) card will say SDHC.
