Dvd Camcorders Editing
I can not get my computer to Recognize my Sharp VL-NZ60 Mini DV camcorder?
I'm using the IEEE 1394 port on the camera to connect via firewire to my Dell computer. Nothing works. The computer recognizer still my camera fine, But not this piece of "you know what." I've checked the users' manual and it Gives info on connecting two camcorders via IEEE1394 to allow editing, but nothing About computers. Any ideas? If there 's no way to hook it up does anyone know of a device That transfers them (Beside copying to analog Then back to DVD)?
How are you checking the connection? Firewire does Indicate That Things Are plugged in like USB. An icon does not pop up or appear, do normal Appear Any extra devices in My Computer or Windows Explorer also like other USB gadgets. Due to the way digital video is saved on tape, you can not download, copy, or cut and paste video from miniDV, HDV or Digital8 camcorders like You Can with Photo in digital still photo cameras. The only way to check the Firewire connection to your camcorder is to Go into your video editing program and try to capture video.
