Digital Touch Screen Camcorders
Digital Camcorders?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of a quality of a video and quality of the pictures that a Sony Handycam – 8MM and on the camera it also says 990X this one is grey and it also has a touch screen! I would also like to know what good prices for a USED one would be??
I’m not familiar with this particular model, but from your description, it sounds like a Digital8 model. The quality of the video will be OK. Certainly better than analog 8mm material, but it will not be as good as footage shot on newer camcorders using miniDV (or even DVD/Hard Drive camcorders).
As for a “good” price, I wouldn’t pay more than $50 for a Digital8 camcorder. New miniDV camcorders can be had for less than $200. An old, used Sony Digital8 is really obsolete.
