What is the best compact digital camera for concerts?
I need an excellent camera for low light/action shots so I can get some good pictures during concerts. I’ve read all of the other answers and I can’t find what I’m looking for. I currently have a Panasonic DMC-TZ3, which is great overall, but terrible at concerts without my flash. I would take my dSLR, but I can’t get it into venues without a press pass.
I enjoy the idea of the Nikon S60 only because I love the touch screen, but I don’t know how it performs. I have read reviews for different cameras on dpreview.com, dcresource.com, and many others, but none are specifically tested in a concert setting. I welcome personal preferences. Price is not an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
By the way, I’ve been to 40+ concerts, so I know that some do not let you take in cameras. I plan on taking this camera to concerts that allow cameras or taking it back to my car so it won’t be taken from me. Thanks!
try to look for a compact camera that has a larger aperture or f/stop .since its dark in a concert i think that would help. try the leica d-lux its sharp ,quick and images are beautiful
