Can Smart Media cards be repaired?
I have a 15 years old Olympus digital camera that uses Smartmedia Card.My SM Card is “dead” and does not capture any photos.How can it be revived,reconditioned or formatted? I cannot find new SM Cards in the market.
They weren’t designed to be repaired.

All cards can be and should be formatted regularly.
If you haven’t done it in 15 years, it could explain why it’s given up.
There will be a format command in the camera’s setup menu to do the job (always format a camera card in the camera). It will wipe any pictures left on the card.
That may, indeed, revive it.
How far have digital cameras come in 8 years?
