Looking to buy a DSLR….?
I may be going to the Galapagos Islands over Christmas Break, and I’ll be taking a lot of pictures, obviously. I have a Sony A100 that I got for Christmas in 2006. It’s been dropped a few times (on bricks..), and the autofocus/buttons don’t work =/. So I will need to get a new DSLR before I go on my trip.
I was looking at the Nikon D80 and Canon Rebel XTi.
I liked the D80, but the sales guy said that they’re coming out with the D90 sometime soon.. I wouldn’t want to get the D80 now if it’s going to be replaced with a better version soon.. Does anyone know when the D90 is coming out?
I really like the D300, but it’s way too expensive.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good camera?

I just called Calumet Photo about the D90 and was told it should be shipping in the beginning to mid October.
