Best semi-pro digital camera?
My wife takes fantastic pic’s with her Canon Rebel EOS. I am wanting her to move up to a higher grade professional style camera and lenses that won’t break the bank. She loves mainly taking landscape pic’s. Thanks in advance for your replys.
I don’t know what model your wife is shooting with. I did a career in television news / sports photography and now I’m retired but still do some professional still work.
The key is not so much the camera but the lenses. High quality Canon lenses can make a truely great difference in her photos.
I shoot a Rebel XS (1000D). I also use a 28-200 Canon lens at about $400. What do you think of this kind of quality?

A closer look will tell you about the accuracy and sharpness of this lens. It’s made all the difference for me.
I don’t think you need to spend all that cash on the camera and then skimp on lenses. It should actually be the other way around. The better the lens the better the results. Trust me, it’s true.
Also, don’t be taken in by the Mega Pixel myth. That being, more is better. That’s manufacturer marketing fodder to get you to spend more. Don’t be fooled by it. It’s not the number of pixels, it’s what you do with them. Good Luck
