How much VAT will I have to pay if I buy digital camera from outside the EU when arriving back in the UK?
It will be over the £350 allowance. Thanks!
It will be over the £350 allowance, and will be a digital SLR as well.
Make sure you don’t have the receipt or box and use the camera on the trip (but post the receipt and bar code from the box to yourself).
Then it comes back as your personal belongings. There will be no way they can prove you bought it.
