REPOST: I really do need some help making a decision on cameras…. ?

I REALLY NEED HELP! PLEASE HELP ME….

I’m going to be purchasing my camera soon and need some opinions… I’m a student and can’t spend too much money (yet) I do want to start taking some pro pictures and stuff which camera should I purchase? My budget is about $300.

My Cousin’s wedding is in March, she has her own photographer but she is going to let me shoot some pictures.

I have found these two cameras I can afford:
1. Konica Minolta Z6 SemiPro 6.0MP DigiCam +Extras – She says it is a “Semiprofessional”
2. Fuji Film S700 FinePix 7 Megapixel Digital Camera
They are both used- I found them on E-Bay…

For $300 you can do better. Go to http://www.calumetphoto.com. Click on point and shoot digital cameras. You should be able to buy about 10 megapixels with a quality lens form makers like Nikon, Cannon, and Olympus. Look for the other features you want. The extent of the zoom, the ISO range, etc. Most of the cameras you look at won’t have a hot shoe for a separate flash. The built in pop up flashes tend to produce red eye because the angle of reflection between the flash and the lens is so small that the camera is seeing light bouncing off the retina. That’s important if you’re shooting a wedding. Look for one that has a red eye filter.
