Digital Cameras Fisheye
Is it possible to achieve the artistic fisheye wide angle look with a compact digital camera?
I really like the look of the distorted wide-angle photography. I also want a camera that is digital, compact and easily portable. Any advice or recommendations?
There was an add-on fisheye lens made for the old Nikon Coolpix 900 series P&S cameras.
These add-on lenses were popular and available because there were NO DSLR’s at the time that cost under $5,000, so many pros, first dabbled with digital using these versatile P&S cameras.
Finding one (fisheye) that you can add to a compact, portable digital camera will be difficult.
There are some fisheye effects available on some photo programs, but they are not all the believable without a lot of manipulation and good luck
Remember that a “fish-eye” lens covers 180 degrees, so keep your feet out of the shot if you find an actual fisheye add-on for your camera
