Desktop or laptop better for a lot of music and pictures?

I have about 2000 pics and 5500 songs. My collection is forever expanding. I think I would prefer a laptop but am I going to run out of room soon? Also will i be able to import CDs into iTunes and burn disks with laptop? Burning disks is not as important as being able to add my CDs to iTunes. Will it take unrealistically long? Also will importing photos using USB cord from digital camera be something I can do on laptop? Will this be really really slow? Where is a good place to purchase a laptop in Denver co. I would prefer in store purchase to online. I would like company good with returns and customers service in case something goes wrong. Does someone come from Internet provider to set up Internet for laptop or do u do it yourself? Please forgive my ignorance I could use some good simple clear advice. Thankyou :)

Your collection is only a fraction of mine and I get by fine with a dual core 15″ laptop with a 500GB drive.

If your looking for excellent customer service, visit a Apple Store. They can set up your machine too.

I’d say a 15″ MacBook Pro Laptop with anti-glare screen would be good, it has a lot of storage. cd/dvd drive and everything you need for 7 years.

The MacBook Air is nice too and very light, but your going to offloading data if you overload it and the cd/dvd drive is separate item.

Also a Mac is more “new computer user” friendly, you don’t have to run anti-malware or worry about anything except using the computer.

Windows machines tend to be hard on new folks and they all get messed up unless you know a lot of technical stuff to keep them running fast.

Far as setting up your Internet, your cable or phone company can do that.
