Question about digital cameras with background de-focus?
I really want one, but I can’t spend more than around £160. Are there any models by any make that offer this for that kind of price? It would need to be available in England and preferably by a well-known make, but the price and the background de-focus capability are more important.

I think what you are talking about is called “shallow depth of field”
And with that budget being so low, the best you can do is Ebay an older model, like:
-Nikon D1
-Nikon D100
And not much else for $200USD…
I would then pick up a cheap little “nifty fifty” 50mm f/1.8 for about $110
