Webcams that work on vista (youtube wannabe)?

So, I have a camera phone which records videos, and a digital camera that records videos as well.

I wanted to start a youtube blog and use window movie maker to edit and cut etc.

I decided to experiment with movie maker first with some videos i had recorded on both my phone and camera and shock horror it didnt support the video format. apparently it needs Avi i think its called.

So i did my research, attempted to figure out what was wrong, downloaded a few things which were useless and finally found a free converter. the problem being a big watermark in the center of the video which was quite honestly unatractive.

I also looked at free movie maker downloades with no such luck.

so i was wondering if you could maybe recommend some.
I think my final choice is to buy a webcam (WHICH MUST WORK ON VISTA) for id say £30 most. any ideas or advice?

You could convert your files using www.zamzar.com, but if you really wanted to buy a webcam then anyone should work, as long as you have the latest driver. There also usually is a software compatibility logo on the boxes of the webcam
