What do I need to take great Pictures?
I have a Cannon PowerShot SD750, I can control a few settings, but It doesn’t have manual aperture or shutter controls.
Do I simply take keep taking pictures until I get better? What settings do I need to use? Do I need to read stacks of books about photography theory? (Any sites that will teach me?)

Before you go out to invest in new camera etc.~~ Learn as much as you can about how to take really good pictures with what you have ~~
Better equipment can be very helpful BUT learning the basics and expanding on those are very important ~~ try going into www.digital-photogphy-school-.com ~~they have all kinds of good tutorals of all kinds not just for digitals ~~ It is also a good place to find people that will be honest and helpful on advice on things you have taken ~~Hope you can get the help that will encourage you to learn and grow ~~Enjoy
