Digital Camera Reviews Beginners

Getting a Canon EOS 350D, is it a good idea?
I’m really really into photography and I’ve been taking photographs with my lame digital camera from olympus. It’s a not a very good one, my friend spilled soda all over it, and the shutter time is just way to long and all in all, it’s just not a very good camera for taking the photographs that I want to be able to take.
I’m very much into landscape and portraits and I want to be able to take HDR photographs as well.
I’m just a beginner though, but one of my mum’s friends is selling a Canon EOS 350D, it’s in fantastic condition and it’ll only cost me about $250-300. There isn’t any lens that comes with it other than the kit lens.
Any review for this camera? is it user-friendly? Is it good/okay for a beginner?
Tips on using it and such are well appreciated.
Thanks! xx
“he shutter time is just way to long”
haha, I said that wrong what I really meant was “The shutter speed is way too slow”
Yea, good price and good camera.
I have one I got new. I also have a 5D. I have sold photos and been hired for weddings and other events with the 350 and have made prints to 20″ X 30″ from a single photo.
My suggestion is to collect good quality lenses as you need them, staying away from the EF-S line in favor of the EF. Used lenses are a good buy but use your head on purchases.
The EF lenses can be used if you later decide to get a full frame camera (Canon). By getting used, mid-priced lenses it is likely you can sell and trade them and loose little, if any cash in the process.
Get a good arsenal of lenses and flashes, a good tripod, etc THEN, if needed, look at an upgrade.
