No optical zoom or even spec is a serious shortcoming as it’s a sign of very little money spent on the optics and as such I’d highly recommend against it. Won’t be better than an average camera phone from the sound of it.

2 x AAA alkaline batteries supplied: that’s another sign of it’s cheapness: you’ll likely pay more on batteries than on the camera and will help create a lot more toxic waste in doing so.
