Digital Camcorders Pixels
Is the quality of a photo good because of the number of pixels or the lens size?

I was wondering what makes the quality of a photo so good: the number of pixels or how big the lens is?

I really have to say that pixels and lenses really have little to do with image quality as mentioned by another photographer, the quality of the image is more in the ability of the capturing artist and having and using a 6.1 megapixel D100 I have printed images as large as 11×14 with excellent results http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr34/GAlanFink/DSC_0042HDR.jpg for one.
Lens size may not play a role but certainly lens quality does. Good glass does reduce chromatic aberration and improves the edge to edge clarity. I guess that’s why we are always looking for the best designs and manufacturing improvements.
Panasonic makes some very impressive cameras. In fact, the Lumix my Sister Janet uses http://sharedvisions.us/Hickey/index.aspx is a Leica without the price tag.
Panasonic’s statement, “Slightly ahead of our time” is fitting and I think you will be happy with your purchase (until you decide to upgrade… it’s a constant curve).
I use Nikon and have been very pleased with their commitment to the consumer needs.
