I am interested in Photography, would you be able to give me some tips?
Hi, I am a 16 year old male from the North of Ireland. I have a keen interest in photography and I think it is time for me to put my interest into use. I have the Samsung ES28 digital camera, which I got for Christmas. The website states, “The ES28 combines a 27mm ultra wide angle lens with a 5x zoom. Letting you can fit more in frame while delivering a deeper perspective. And the 12.2 mega pixels provides the sharp, crisp detail to reveal all kinds of things. Including what a great photographer you are.”
Is this camera a good camera to start of photography with? Have you any tips for me? I have no knowledge in photography, so I would appreciate as much information as possible, such as tips and tricks for my camera etc… thanks in advance!

It’ll be ok to take some shots with where you can practice composition. It has NO manual control of either exposure or focusing so will not be any use in learning about exposure as the camera will make the exposure decisions for you. It has a very limited aperture and shutter speed range too.
You can at least change metering modes and adjust exposure compensation up to +/- 2EV, so that’s something.
See how you get on with it – when it becomes clear that you don’t have the control you’d like, then is the time to move onto a bridge or DSLR camera.
