Are digital Cameras as good as Digital camcorders?
I`d like to get a mid range digital camera but I`d also like to get a mid range camcorder. I know that most digital cameras now do `good` video capture but are they as good as a dedicated digital camcorder?
No.
You get what you pay for …. a still camera will give a half-good imitation of a movie camera but you may find it doesn’t record at the same frame rate as a dedicated movie camera and the zoom may not work while you’re recording etc.
Same goes the other way with a movie camera being used for still pictures.
You can get a camera that does a reasonable job of both but if you really want all the bells and whistles you need to get separate cameras.
