Help plz! Canon Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens and 75-300mm Zoom lens?
I always wanted a Digital SLR Camera. Bestbuy has this Digital Rebel XTi Black on sale this week, features as following:
1) 10.1MP sensor
2) Self-cleaning sensor system
3) shoot up to 3 frames per second with help of the DIGIC II processor
4) 2.5” LCD screen

Is it a good deal?
The XTI is a good camera and good for beginners. It is lightweight and has many good features including the sensor cleaning system which is important. I have owned both the XTI and more recently traded it in for a Canon 40D. If you can afford another $400 the 40D is a professional camera that is strongly built, uses the improved Digic III processor for better images with the same amount of megapixels (10.1) It also has a bigger image buffer and faster frames per second for action shots. You can’t go wrong with either model, it depends on whether pro features are worth the extra money. The EF lenses that fit the XTI will fit the 40d if you upgrade. Check Amazon. com, their prices will beat Best Buy and avoid the online camera dealers that advertise prices too good to be true. They will scam you into upgrading or adding expensive accessories or stall your order until you cancel if you aren’t a willing sucker. Here is a good article on the 40d and its features.
