What are all the different formats for camcorders?
What are the different formats for camcorders and how are they stored.
I am getting a new camcorder for Christmas and I wanted one without tape or DVDs if possible. I don’t want it to record straight to DVDs, but I want to be able to transfer my movies to DVDs from my computer if I need to.
I would like to be able to store it right on the camcorder or an SD card that I can easily put onto my computer.
I was also wondering if I could put videos stored on my computer on a flash drive.
And I would like it to be fairly cheap if possible.
And I wanted to be able to do special effects like adobe after effects, but it is SUPER expensive. Is there a cheaper program like that that does the same thing, but cheaper. I would also need a video camera that I can do the effects with.
Sorry I’m so picky I just want to make sure i’m getting what I want.

Your not being picky, I’m in the process of buying one myself, and I’m thinking the same as you, if you don’t want to go through many dvd’s or tapes, buy a Hard Drive model, they are nice, and fairly cheap, Wal-Mart has a decent 30GB model, haven’t tested it, but I’ve had my eye on it, shop around online for hard drive models. The one listed below is from Circuit City. Good Luck, and let me know how it turns out.
