Canon Hdv Camcorders
DV tapes, and Hard Drive Camcorders!?
I have to settle an argument with a freind. i own a canon hv20, which is HD DV tapes (hdv tapes). He owns a hard drive video camera (its also hd, but i don’t know what its called)
He thinks that professionals use hard drive video cameras.
That makes sense, i use to also think that too.
cause its new technology, and it can hold more,
and now, after talking to many people, (fry’s employees, school film teacher, sister, mac genius people ) They all tell me that tapes are what professionals use.
WHo is right?

They had many reasons why, i understand why u would use tape
Just go to sony.com and look at the professional cameras.
HDD-based cameras are more convenient, but recording in HD takes lots of disc space, so cameras with lots of HDD space are still very expensive.
