Buying a Canon Powershot Digital Camera Help? would you like to ask?
Since my last camera broke, I’ve been looking into buying a new digital camera. I’ve heard good things about the Canon Powershot and decided I want that brand. But with so many types, I’m not sure which one I want.
I’ve narrowed it down to 2 options: the Canon Powershot SD780 IS (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro… and the Canon Powershot SD960 IS (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro…
Both seem very similar in features like MP and HD and I’m aware that the SD960 IS has a larger screen, but I’m wondering why else it is more expensive.
If you could tell me which is better and why the latter is more expensive (and if it’s worth it), I’d greatly appreciate it.

ok heres the deal:
both are 12 MP which really means nothing. a 5 MP camera will do everything you want unless youre going to be printing 20×30, which i doubt you are, so youd probably save money if you didnt get either of these.
but because you want to talk about these 2:
both are almost identical, both take movies, both use same battery, and both have face detection.
the 960 youre paying for style; physical appearance.
its true the 960 has a shutter speed of 1/1600 compared to the other 1/5000 which means nothing, but id go with the cheaper one.
you wont see one difference.
