Which camera should i buy?
IM on EBAY and i really want a new camera and i want a canon…but the two cameras i found have a really nice price rang but my mom wants me to make sure its a good buy. The first camera is a refurbished Canon PowerShot S1 S1IS Digital Camera DSLR..it has noo dents scratches or anything and is updated and looks flawless..the price is 89. The Second one is a used Canon PowerShot S2 IS 5MP Digital Camera and still looks nice but has SOME minor scratches..its 94.99 and still looks really nice..but i wanna know which camera would be a better buy..THANKS!
The final decision is, of course, up to you but, I’d first recommend you stay away from ebay. That site is buyer beware. You may get what your order and you may not. If you do it may not work.
Refurbished equipment can be attractive because of the price but here’s another beware. Was it refurbished by the manufacturer, if not what kind of condition is it actually in?
The same goes for used gear. Who owned it? How many have owned it? Has it been mistreated, roughed up, wet?
My advice is today and always buy new. It’ll cost more yes but in the end you’ll always know what your getting and you won’t be disappointed later.
